Quick Celtic Frame Tutorial

Materials needed: PI 7 & Celtic Patterns Font
Description: This tutorial shows you how to create a round frame using a Celtic dingbat font. Tutorial is in PDF format also.

snapshot1.gif snapshot2.gif Create a new image, about 640 X 480. Then select the text tool and choose the Celtic Patterns font. Pick size 72 and type in the "J".
snapshot4.gif snapshot5.gif Bring up your Easy Palette. Select Bend Text from Wrap Gallery. Then choose Bend 18. Right click and select Modify Properties and Apply.
snapshot6.gif Choose the following settings - Repeat: Count 3, Spacing - 0, Position/Size: Start position - 0. Leave everything else as is.
snapshot7.gif There you have a round frame that you can use for whatever you like.
Now check out the Material attribute Gallery (Metallic is a good one).
snapshot8.gif Here's the frame with Copper 10 preset applied. Choose different presets to find one you like. You can turn it into an object and further edit the object to cover up the lines in between each section to make it look continuous.
